At Kolskoot, we specialize in game processing at our factory in Paarl. Hunters can bring their carcasses, and we will process the meat according to your requirements.

The Kolskoot philosophy is simple – treat animals well, treat people well, and treat the land well. This includes protecting the biodiversity of farms, raising animals that are free to roam and express natural behaviours, and ensuring they are free from synthetic chemicals and HGPs (Hormone Growth Promotants). We value the meat you eat.

Freddie Janse van Rensburg
Freddie’s love for meat was kindled from his earliest moments. Nurtured by his mother’s culinary expertise and his father’s hunting prowess, he developed an unwavering passion for quality food.
Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, Freddie set out to master the craft of meat processing. Over years of experimentation and refinement, he honed his skills and perfected his signature recipes. As demand for his work grew, he established a dedicated meat processing facility, specialising in the processing of game meats.
In 2002, Freddie’s operation took root on Waboomsrust Farm in Du Toitskloof, Paarl. Known for his delectable boerewors and mouth-watering biltong, his reputation as a master processor and butcher spread far and wide. In 2021, Freddie proudly acquired Kolskoot in Paarl, expanding the business and enabling the team to serve an even wider community through their processing services and products.
